Revealing Matter

A shed hall built in the 1960s. An intelligent prefabricated system. An adaptation of uses during time. The aim of the project was to keep production on site and to protect the hall by shrinking it to balance out its volume to surface handicap.

By revealing the structure I realised a lot is already there. By taking parts away new spaces occur. The spaces inside are aiming to be flexible but show a specific relation to the outside. A loading dock to handle the goods. An introverted inner courtyard amplifies the network between the different businesses. A busy alley connects the production to the new housing development that surrounds the conglomerate.
