Located in the centre of Wolfgang-Pauli Strasse, the Hönggerberg Ingenieur Lehrgebäude is the arrival point at the Hönggerberg Campus.
Based on the HIL as the core of the Hönggerberg campus, we are creating a place for the community where people not only pass through by bus, but also get off and spend time. The campus of the future should not be a closed institution, but a place that involves the neighbourhood and offers value to the public.
Throughout the year, not only members of the campus would spend time at the Hönggerberg campus, the place should also offer the opportunity for people from outside the neighbourhood to use the facilities.
As the location of the HIL offers great potential for public use, we are bringing central uses such as auditoriums, the workshop and exhibition spaces into the public arena and giving the building more presence by making the interior visible to the outside.
