In the courtyard of the research center, the garden grows uncontrollably. It is a silent presence, an autonomous microcosm in relation to a more complex entity that extends into several secret courtyards. The landscape seems close but out of reach, immobile but constantly changing. Students and professors move around the perimeter of the garden between a lecture and an experiment, observing the wild character of the courtyards vegetation. Their pace is slowed and marked by a succession of pillars and beams. Hortus Mentis or the secret garden, is a green mind close to the human mind, a symbol of ever-growing thought.
